Rafa Nadal is set to start his 2008 Paris Master Series campaign this afternoon on Court 'Central' against French tennis player, Florent Serra. They are the third match of the day, with the first match scheduled to start at 11:00am (local time).

The pair have played in two occasions before: Cincinnati and the Australian Open. Both times Rafa came out on top and didn't even lose a set.

If he wins this match, he will be expected to meet another Frenchman, Gael Monfils.

DOUBLES UPDATE

Last night, Rafael and Juan Monaco, who are competing together for the first time since July 2005 at Bastad knocked out French wild cards Nicolas Mahut and Paul-Henri Mathieu with a 6-2, 6-4 win in 61 minutes.

The pair will next meet No. 3 seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles.
